The Points Page!
Join the Clubhouse. Get points.
Please look over the following information for some rough guidelines and points estimates for clothing collections.
Please keep in mind that we (“we” ha!) are one person. We’ll do our best to be consistent and fair. Point amounts do change according to need, season and other factors.
First: What are points worth?
Baseline, one Clubhouse point is worth the following at Baby Mama:
$1 for all secondhand clothing
$2 for play clothes and clearance clothing
25¢ for any new gifts or toys
Sometimes your points are worth more:
Clubhouse double point days
Special section sales
If you’re on our email list, you’ll find out about all Clubhouse events
What can you expect from your contribution:
Basic baby and kid clothing will earn you one point, but there are many exceptions:
1/2 point:

most pants and shorts
basic pjs
2 points:
girls 3T, 4T and 5T clothing in good condition
boys 2T through 5T clothing in good condition

5 points:

SwaddleMe sleep sacks
10 points:

In-season:
Right now we’re prioritizing the following:
prioritizing = more points (note this is up to our discretion)

3 points:

Check back frequently as our guidelines change seasonally and with need.
Getting Fewer Points
We don’t want you to get fewer points than you expect. Here are the most common reasons that happens.
0 points:
Fast fashion brands - like Shein and Amazon. We won’t waste the clothing but we don’t offer credit
Dirty clothing- if we have to put it through the wash, we can’t keep track of your pieces
Customized clothing - anything with vinyl applique or custom messaging: e.g. your baby’s name
Clothes that are damaged, stained, obviously altered or have strong odors
Items that are outside of our guidelines: we will donate them elsewhere
Points deduction:
Clothing that is still good but shows obvious wear
Polyester clothing that should be cotton (excluding fleece, rain jackets, etc)
Higher end clothing that is heavily worn or damaged
Out of season clothing that we’ll have to store (sometimes)
Clothing that doesn’t match our aesthetic
Tags missing or removed and we can’t tell the size and/or brand
Importantly: if we pick up the collection, it is subject to a pick up fee of 15 points
Also 0 points:
socks, hair ties, bibs, headbands, newborn hats - we love them but cannot offer points at this time
unused postpartum supplies - we accept these items for free and offer them for free
opened diapers - we accept these items for free and offer them for free

Whew! That’s a lot to process…
We try to be transparent about our process so that you feel good about your experience.
When we collect your clothing, we will provide you with a summary of your collection and the points awarded. We hope that part of the value you get from working with us is that we’ll come pick up your donation, saving you time and energy. We don’t use a consignment model because we want you to be able to use your points immediately and not have to wait months until sales are finalized.
